S. Kathryn Jiménez Boyd

Hi, my name is Kat!

I was born and raised in America, but I have been living in Spain for the past 18 years.

I’m an ATA-certified Spanish and Catalan to English (UK or US) translator, editor, interpreter, and medical writer who specializes in the realms of science, medicine, and business/finance.

On a more personal level, I’m a dreamer, a believer in a better world, a traveler, an inquisitive mind, a progressive, and an aspiring scientist. I live with my awesome dog near the beach in Castelldefels, just south of Barcelona. I visit home twice a year and I do miss my family back in Missouri, but I’m very happy in Spain. My hobbies include training horses, playing the piano, reading, hiking, and exploring new things.

My main hobby right now, though, is pursuing a line of research that will focus on finding the molecular mechanism behind and characterizing a particular sub-type of Bipolar I disorder secondary to undiagnosed non-celiac gluten intolerance.
